It was another fun tournament last weekend where we finally got to play on a 14s net. Thank you to the Allen and Vaitai families for providing the food for all the players last weekend! It makes a big difference knowing they will have all the energy we need for those long days in the gym. Winning that Grand Prix tournament earns the team a free entry to the AAU National tournament in Orlando on June 27 to July 1, 2022. I have added those dates to our team Google calendar. I promised the boys a party after practice on Monday, November 1, at my house in Orem. I hope all the parents are able to attend too so we can discuss tournament plans for January through June including Orlando.

I will be in Orlando for the AAU Convention for the rest of this week. Randy McNees will coach the team at tonight’s practice 5:30-7:30 PM and for FNL on Friday from 5:30-7:00 PM. There is also a setters training scheduled for 7:30-9:00 PM this Friday night, October 22, also Thursday, October 28, and Friday, November 5, which are all on the calendar and hope Ben, Clark, and Lucky will attend.

As always, I will check the progress each individual has made with their player folders when I return next week. All of their journal entries should be filled-in for every practice day (whether they attended or not), game day notes from each of our tournaments, AND every assignment must be completed including this week’s What is Athletic Toughness.

We still have a few players that have not turned in their Player Medical Release Form. Please download, complete, and email or print to give in-person.
