Thank you to the Galbraith family for providing the food for the players and coaches this past weekend. Although both Quintin and I were both under the weather (and still haven’t fully recovered), it was fun to watch our team play. Thanks to Coach Danelle and Coach Brynnly for stepping in to lead them to victory. Please send me any photos you may have taken. Thanks for this one, Kim!
The homework assignment due at the beginning of practice on Thursday, April 18, is TalkingPoints_Week_12_End_With_A_Flourish from the Positive Coaching Alliance.
We will be in the gym as usual on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:30 PM in the Middle School, but feel free to invite friends and/or family to watch us scrimmage the Club 801 Mike 13s team from 6:30 to 8:00 PM during that practice.
The Power League Grand Prix tournament this weekend is a tournament with all of the best 14s teams in the State at the Karl Malone Training Center competing on both days at 525 E 200 S, Lehi, UT 84043 (Club 801’s volleyball facility). Our team is currently scheduled to ref first at 4:00 PM. I would like all of the players to be in the gym Friday by 3:40 PM at the latest. I will provide food on Friday and the Ashdown family will bring food on Saturday. I look forward to seeing how we can “End with a Flourish”!
Here are the details again for the Friday, April 26 through Saturday, April 27 tournament where we have booked hotel rooms for the coaches and players at the Quality Inn at 2002 South Hwy 89, US-91, Logan UT. Parents are responsible for arranging the player’s transportation to and from the tournament (including to and from the hotel). I would like all the players to be at the hotel by 2 PM on Friday, April 26, to check-in and get food and snacks from me for that night. We will drive to the Mtn Peak Volleyball Facility (725 W 1940 S, Logan, UT 84321) at 3 PM. Friends and family are welcome to book their own rooms at the same hotel or can also get a good rate at the nearby La Quinta Inn listed at the bottom of the Champions Challenge website. I will be providing all the players with snacks throughout the tournament, dinner on Friday night, breakfast (at the hotel) on Saturday morning, lunch on Saturday at the tourney, AND dinner as a team after the tournament in Logan.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
