Players should make it meaningful to THEMSELVES. The words or pictures they choose can be quotes, personal sayings, familiar phrases, proverbs, translations, goals, or values. It can be sports-related, religious, or anything else that inspires the player. These are the things that are important to them which can improve their lives.
I am thrilled to announce the addition of Ava to our team! Some of you met Ava at a couple of our October clinics when she was a deadly serving specialist while still recovering from her broken left arm. Thanks for joining our team! I have updated the team contact list so all of you can email or call each other to arrange for carpooling. I plan to set up the GroupMe texting groups by Saturday.
We have our Uniform Sizing scheduled for this Saturday, November 10. I hope everybody on the team can plan to be there at 11:30 AM. It would be fun to then all go to the BYU women’s volleyball game together which starts at 1:00 PM. Please RSVP by responding to this email if you can make it to both of these things this Saturday.
Our first practices are scheduled for next week on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-8:30 PM. Remember, you have a homework assignment due at the beginning of practice. You need to create an 8.5 x 11″ Player Manifesto. It will serve as the back cover for your player folder. Here are two samples you can refer to if needed: Player Manifesto from USA Volleyball and the following image created by Hannah Oakley, a 16-year-old young lady who played high school hockey and rugby, carried a 3.98 GPA, and ran her own photography business.
